Eritrea: Agreement to strengthen cooperation in Health with China

Asmara (HAN) May 3. 2016. Public Diplomacy & Regional Security News .The Governments of Eritrea and the Peoples Republic of China signed an accord on 03 May in Asmara to strengthen the existing cooperation in the sector of health.

The agreement was signed by the Minister of Health Ms. Amina Nurhusein and the Chinese Ambassador to Eritrea Mr. Qui Xwejun.

The agreement includes supply of medicines and medical equipment and Chinese medical experts to contribute be coming to Eritrea as well as exchanging experiences among the two sides and other areas of cooperation.

According to reports from the MOH, in the past 20 years numerous cooperation activities have been conducted between the two sides in the sector of health and Chinese medical experts conducted urinary tract surgery to about 300 nationals.

It is to be recalled that the Governments of Eritrea and the Peoples Republic of China have cooperation programs in various sectors.
